She served as an editor for a Christian book publisher for five years, where she received excellent Bible training. She has taught Bible classes in the public library, church and schools for over ten years. She has been active in teaching all ages in Sunday school for the past thirty-five years.
Marjorie Foerster Eddington
Marjorie Foerster Eddington has always had a deep love of the Bible. She has taken several Bible history classes and has studied the Bible daily since she could read. Indeed, the Bible is a constant source of inspiration, guidance, protection, and healing messages for her. She has taught Sunday school to children of all ages, currently teaches 5th and 6th graders and enjoys helping them learn more about God's all-powerful goodness and presence in their lives.
Marjorie was the Director of Theatre Arts at a public high school for 12 years. She has touched the lives of teenagers in the classroom as well as on the stage. She has directed over 30 plays, musicals, and reviews and supervised over 30 student-directed one-acts. Always interested in trying to help teens make a difference, she developed a community outreach program. Her drama students wrote, directed, and performed biographical monologues and plays that were inspired by the lives of residents they interviewed at local retirement communities.
She took a year and a half off from teaching to devote time to spiritual study and growth before returning to the classroom to teach English for two more years, at which time she became a mom. In addition to teaching drama and English, she has taught speech and world history. She has her M.A. in Literature and wrote her thesis on what it meant to be a patriot when the United States was young as revealed in early American drama. She has spent countless hours counseling, laughing, working, and growing with her high school students. She thoroughly enjoys being a full-time mom and learning more each day just why Jesus said that we must "become like little children" (Matt 18:3).
