Activities on the Prodigal Son
Categories: Jesus (Parables) Read the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-24) and his brother (Luke 15:25-32). Now, try out these activities:
- Have each student put the story into modern language and act it out.
- Start the story for your students or have a student start it, and then pass it off to one of another student. Each student must give at least 10 – 20 words before passing it to the next person to add to the story. Everyone must continue the story in modern language. After the story is completed, ask how close theirs is to the original in Luke. Which one has helped them better understand the father's great love for both his sons?
