The Fish with the Coin

The Fish with the Coin Matthew 17:24-27

When Jesus and His disciples traveled to the town of Capernaum, a tax collector came up to Peter and asked, "Does your teacher pay the temple tax?"

Peter answered, "Yes, He does." But Peter had no money, and didn't know how he should pay for the tax.

Jesus told Peter, "Go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; in its mouth will be a coin. Use that to pay the temple tax."

How did Jesus know that the first fish Peter caught would have a coin in its mouth? Jesus knows everything that is happening to you each day! Aren't you glad He knows where you are and how to take care of you?

See if you can find your way from Peter's hook to the fish with the coin.
